Jonathan BCT Update
The latest update on Jonathan (and the last update before Basic Training graduation) is here. For those of you who are beginning to wonder - yes, I will eventually post something else on this site besides updates on Jonathan. But hey, it’s my site so I can do what I want with it right? Yeah, that’s the spirit!
Jonathan called me Sunday night! This is the first phone call I have received since he arrived at Basic Training more than two months ago. Needless to say that made my evening!
Jonathan apparently has been granted off-base passes for both Thursday and Friday - including overnight. This was not expected but is certainly welcome news. My last letter from him suggested that he would not be receiving an off-base pass at all during Family Day or Graduation Day. He plans to spend one night with me and one night with his mother.
Following his graduation Jonathan will be sent to Fort Lee, VA for three months of advanced training.
I will update the site with photos and news from graduation as soon as I arrive home. For those of you who live in the Cambridge area I will also be submitting a press release to The Eagle so you may want to grab a copy of the paper.
