Local Attractions
Constraints may breed creativity if we remain flexible.

High fuel prices over this past summer have meant being creative with local attractions and selective with road trips. There were several city parks near our summer home base that feature a lot of green space. These parks were regular stops.

One of the upshots to traveling far less than normal over the summer was that I began to look at things differently. Instead of searching out always-changing grand landscapes, I learned to focus on smaller scenes that were no less interesting. Scenes like a wooden boardwalk through cattails or a snail trail along a concrete path.
