Nevada Wild Horses Visit My Desert Camp

I love horses, but there is something especially thrilling about seeing these majestic creatures in the wild. I have had several opportunities to see wild horses in the desert near Pahrump over the years, but it is never a guarantee. They had left evidence on the ground that they had been here before so I was hoping they would return. This week they did.

I grabbed a camera and hurried outside to shoot as much as possible before they made their way to another location. These wild horses do not tend to stand still for too long, but walk, pause, graze, walk, pause, graze. I still have not discovered where they find water either, but this herd was healthier than some that I have seen here.
