Quartzsite, Arizona is an incredibly popular destination amongst snowbirds and nomads. It is so popular, in fact, that trying to escape the crowds during the winter "peak season" is no small challenge. Despite the challenge, we did find some isolated locations in the Sonoran Desert to explore and photograph.

This post is the first in a series from the Quartzsite, Arizona area during the 2022-2023 winter.

The brilliant yellow Brittlebush flowers are noticeable from a distance in the desert. The aroma of these plants is also lovely.
