Road Ministries is an outreach ministry that focuses on a digital-first approach to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who, due to travel or other reasons, are not able to be consistently involved with a local church. As full-time RVers, we understand the obstacles to local church involvement for those who travel frequently or as a lifestyle.
About Road Ministries
We believe that it is our great responsibility and immense privilege as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel to the whole creation, to make disciples of all nations, to baptize those disciples in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and to teach those who would follow Jesus to obey everything that Jesus commanded until such time as He returns to the earth to claim his bride.
To that end, Road Ministries is a missional and evangelical Christian ministry. We may also be described as conservative in that we hew to traditional Judeo-Christian mores and values while striving to carefully align with historic Christian orthodoxy (right doctrine) and orthopraxy (right practice). Our primary strategies for making disciples of all nations include taking full advantage of modern technologies like the internet, but “off-line” or in-person outreaches and services may also be conducted as opportunities arise.
Though meeting together regularly in person with other like-minded believers may be ideal, there are many people around the world who do not have this option. Whether due to location and the absence of faithful churches in that place, confinement to an institution or facility, being homebound due to injury or illness, or extensive travel for work or lifestyle, there are many people in our modern world who find it difficult or even impossible to regularly gather together in person for worship, fellowship, exhortation, and edification.
Road Ministries hopes to facilitate opportunities for worship, fellowship, community, and spiritual growth through the use of modern technologies.
What We Believe
We rely on the Holy Scriptures as the authoritative and inspired Word of God. Changes in culture over centuries along with translational challenges may present difficulties or obstacles to fully and properly understanding the Scriptures, thus we attempt to faithfully look to the historic Christian understanding and teaching on all matters concerning doctrine and faith in order to obtain the fullest and most accurate understanding. Novel and innovative doctrines must always be rejected in favor of historic Christian dogma.
As a summary of that faith which has been believed everywhere, always, and by all we look to the Nicene Creed (itself an expansion for doctrinal clarification of the Old Roman Creed and the Apostle’s Creed). The Nicene Creed, which dates to the 4th Century AD, was adopted for this purpose and has long been considered an important statement of faith. While the Nicene Creed is not exhaustive, it does serve as a worthwhile foundation for understanding historic Christian beliefs.
The Nicene Creed / Symbol of Faith (c. 325/381 AD)
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible;
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
the Only-Begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages,
Light of Light, true God of true God;
Begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father,
By Whom all things were made;
Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven
and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man;
And He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,
And suffered and was buried;
And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures,
And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father;
And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead;
Whose Kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life,
Who proceeds from the Father;
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified;
Who spoke by the prophets.
In One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins.
I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
In conclusion, we look first and foremost to the Holy Scriptures which were collated for us by the early Church and have been preserved for us through the ages by God Himself. We also look carefully to the Church’s historic understanding of how best to apply the Scriptures to doctrine and practice lest we err.
About Robert Witham

Robert was raised in a Christian home, and attended church and Christian schools. Robert’s father, grandfather, and a couple of uncles were pastors. As a child, Robert was intensely interested in missions work. In his early 20s, Robert moved with his family to central New York to attend Bible college.
During and following Bible college, Robert served on the pastoral staff at several churches and later ministered as a guest preacher at numerous churches in Upstate New York.
Robert is an author, video creator, and Bible teacher who lives full-time in a vintage RV with his lovely wife. Their home base is in Wyoming, and they travel to the Southwest Desert each winter.
A snowbird and full-time traveler since 2015, the global pandemic brought a realization that many people – even without the impact of a pandemic – were isolated from traditional local churches due to frequent travel, injury or illness, or other location factors. While the vision for Road Ministries was born in early 2020, it took until early 2024 to formally launch.
